Restaurants
Restaurants are inherently dangerous places to be if an attack was to take place. Sadly these days they are becoming more popular target due to a number of reasons such as: They are densely populated in peak times, everyone that is in the restaurant has their guard down enjoying good times with family, friends or work colleagues. Fleeing patrons have limited escape routes and have to deal with lose furniture and other obstacles to get out.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Publication No. 93-109, (May 1995). Reports workplaces with the highest rates of occupational homicide include Eating & Drinking places. Which are now also very soft targets for terrorism if think back in recent televised events of people killed in mass in Dhaka in Bangladesh, Paris, and all to common in Israel. More close to home was the shootout in Waco that killed 9 in May 2016, San Ysidro, California Mc Donald’s shooting that claimed the lives of 21 people in 1984, and Luby’s mass shooting in 1991 that claimed the lives of 23 people. Though these events have spanned 32 years. The threat of terrorism in these areas are increasingly high.
